Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal production candidates.

Target Information

Transthyretin (TTR), also known as prealbumin, is a plasma protein that transports thyroxine and retinol-binding protein. It is primarily produced in the liver and secreted into plasma. TTR constitutes about 25% of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) protein, suggesting selective transport or synthesis within the central nervous system.

TTR is found in neuritic plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, and microangiopathic lesions of senile cerebral amyloid. More than 40 mutations in the TTR gene are associated with amyloid deposition.
