Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ALP.
Target Information
The protein encoded by the PDLIM3 gene contains both PDZ and LIM domains, suggesting a role in cytoskeletal assembly. It binds to the spectrin-like repeats of alpha-actinin-2 and colocalizes with alpha-actinin-2 at the Z lines of skeletal muscle. The gene is located near a region of chromosome 4 associated with facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, but is not directly involved in the disease. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
