Target Information

cGAS (Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase)는 ATP와 GTP로부터 cyclic GMP-AMP (cGAMP)를 형성하는 뉴클레오티딜트랜스퍼레이스로, 선천 면역 반응의 핵심 역할을 합니다.
이 효소는 GpA 단계에서 2',5' 인산디에스터 결합을, ApG 단계에서 3',5' 인산디에스터 결합을 형성하여 c[G(2',5')pA(3',5')p]를 생성합니다.
cGAS는 세포질 내 DNA에 직접 결합하여 cGAMP 합성을 유도하고, 이는 TMEM173/STING을 활성화시켜 type-I 인터페론 생성을 유도합니다.
또한 세균 감염, 세포 스트레스, DNA 손상, 세포 노화 조절 등과 관련된 선천 면역 감지 기능에도 관여합니다.
