Steroidogenic factor-1 (SF-1)은 고립 핵 수용체로, 내분비계 기관의 발달 및 분화에 관여합니다.
SF-1은 시상하부, 뇌하수체, 생식선, 부신의 태아기 발달에 필수적이며, cytochrome P450 계열의 여러 스테로이드 생성 효소의 전사 활성화를 촉진합니다.
또한 SF-1은 AF1, AF2 두 개의 활성화 기능 도메인을 포함하며, 이는 다른 핵 수용체 및 보조활성인자(coactivator) 또는 억제인자(corepressor)와의 상호작용에 필요합니다.
관련 인자로는 SRC-1, GRIP1, CREB binding protein (CBP), SMRT 등이 있습니다.
