For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Pepsin is one of the main proteolytic enzymes secreted by the gastric mucosa. It is derived from pepsinogen through removal of a 41 amino acid segment from the N-terminus.
Pepsinogen is synthesized in the stomach lining, and hydrochloric acid is required to activate it and maintain the optimal pH (1–3) for pepsin function.
Pepsin cleaves peptide bonds involving aromatic amino acids and exhibits broad substrate specificity. Pepsin C differs from pepsin and pepsinogen in its amino acid composition, particularly in basic amino acids, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, leucine, and isoleucine content.
