This antibody specifically recognizes human HNF4 alpha isoforms 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8, and cross-reacts with mouse and rat HNF4 alpha isoforms 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8.
Target Information
Hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 alpha (HNF4α) is an orphan nuclear receptor expressed in the liver, kidney, intestine, and pancreas. Mutations in HNF4α are associated with maturity-onset diabetes of the young type 1 (MODY1). HNF4 binds DNA as an exclusive homodimer. The HNF4α gene is alternatively spliced and may generate up to nine isoforms (HNF4α1–HNF4α9).
