Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine LIGHT. Anti-Murine LIGHT-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine LIGHT matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine LIGHT by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine LIGHT (500-P308BT) as a detection antibody, allows detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Murine LIGHT.

Western Blot:
To detect Murine LIGHT by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Murine LIGHT is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, occurs during normal cellular differentiation and development of multicellular organisms. It is induced by cytokines such as TNF and Fas ligand through their receptors TNFR1 and Fas. Cell death signals are mediated by death domain-containing adapter molecules and members of the ICE/CED-3 protease family. Daxx, a death-associated protein, binds specifically to the Fas death domain, enhancing Fas-induced apoptosis and activating the JNK pathway. Daxx is widely expressed in fetal and adult human and mouse tissues, indicating its important function in Fas signaling pathways.
