This antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope of CD334, the fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 (FGFR4), which is an approximately 88 kDa receptor tyrosine kinase expressed in a variety of tissues.
Target Information
FGFR4 is a member of the FGFR family of receptor tyrosine kinases. This family regulates diverse cellular functions such as angiogenesis, mitogenesis, osteogenesis, myogenesis, carcinogenesis, cellular differentiation, and tissue repair after injury.
FGFR family members are implicated in diseases including cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetic retinopathy.
FGFR4 is required for normal down-regulation of CYP7A1 expression in response to FGF19, plays a role in postnatal lung development, and may contribute to skeletal muscle lineage development.
