Target Information
ATP citrate lyase는 여러 조직에서 세포질 내 acetyl-CoA 합성의 주요 효소입니다. 이 효소는 약 440,000의 분자량을 가지는 4량체로, 동일한 소단위체로 구성되어 있습니다. Citrate와 CoA로부터 acetyl-CoA와 oxaloacetate를 형성하며, ATP를 ADP와 phosphate로 가수분해합니다. 생성된 acetyl-CoA는 지방 합성(lipogenesis) 및 콜레스테롤 합성(cholesterogenesis) 등 여러 생합성 경로에 사용됩니다. 신경 조직에서는 acetylcholine의 생합성에 관여할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자는 서로 다른 두 가지 isoform을 암호화하는 전사 변이체를 가집니다.
