Target Information
LYK5 (STE20-related Adaptor Protein, STRAD; FLJ90524) is a pseudokinase member of the STE-20-like kinase family located at 17q23.3. Members of this family stimulate MAPK pathways by activating MAPKKK. STRAD binds LKB1 and regulates its tumor suppressor activities, functioning as an upstream activator and directing LKB1 subcellular localization in the cytoplasm. STRAD-LKB1 interaction leads to STRAD phosphorylation and enhanced LKB1 autophosphorylation.
