Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal clones for production.
Key Advantages:
- Superior specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to the large rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
STAT1 (Signal Transducers and Activators of Transcription 1) is a transcription factor activated by interferon-alpha, interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF, and IL6.
It regulates genes involved in:
- Cell growth and apoptosis
- Immune responses
- Lipid metabolism
STAT1 plays a crucial role in mediating cell viability under various stimuli and pathogen exposure. The STAT1 gene is located on chromosome 2.
Activation occurs via phosphorylation by JAK kinases, followed by nuclear translocation to regulate transcription.
Among the seven STAT family members (STAT1, STAT3, STAT5a, STAT5b, etc.), STAT1 has a broad activation profile through ligands such as:
- IFN family (IFN-α, IFN-β, IFN-γ, IL-10)
- gp130 family (IL-6, IL-11, LIF, CNTF, G-CSF)
- Receptor tyrosine kinases (EGF, PDGF, CSF-1)
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms of STAT1 have been described.
For Research Use Only.
Not for use in diagnostic procedures or resale without express authorization.
