Product Specific Information
This antibody is specific for human Cytochrome b245 light chain amino acids 29–33 (TAGRF) and 183–188 (PQVNPI).
The immunogen was prepared using partially purified human neutrophil flavocytochrome b (heparin Ultrogel/lectin affinity purification in Triton X-100).
The target has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 21 kDa.
Target Information
Cytochrome b consists of a light chain (alpha) and a heavy chain (beta). The CYBA gene encodes the alpha subunit, a primary component of the microbicidal oxidase system in phagocytes.
Mutations in this gene are linked to autosomal recessive chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), characterized by defective superoxide generation in activated phagocytes, leading to impaired microbicidal activity.
