Target Information
PTP1B (PTPN1) is a tyrosine-protein phosphatase that regulates the endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response. It mediates dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK, inactivating its kinase activity. PTP1B also plays roles in CKII- and p60c-src-induced signal transduction cascades, regulates EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling affecting cell reorganization and repulsion, and modulates hepatocyte growth factor receptor signaling via dephosphorylation of MET.
