Product Specific Information
- This product is preservative-free.
- It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
- This antibody has specificity for Human ATP5D.
Target Information
The ATP5D gene encodes a subunit of mitochondrial ATP synthase, which catalyzes ATP synthesis using the proton gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane during oxidative phosphorylation.
ATP synthase consists of two linked multi-subunit complexes:
- F1: Soluble catalytic core
- Fo: Membrane-spanning proton channel
The catalytic portion (F1) includes five different subunits (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon) with a stoichiometry of 3 alpha, 3 beta, and one each of the others.
The Fo portion contains the proton channel composed mainly of subunits a, b, and c.
This gene encodes the delta subunit of the catalytic core.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same isoform have been identified.
