Target Information
Complex V (F1F0 ATPase 또는 ATP synthase)는 진화적으로 매우 보존된 효소로, 식물, 곰팡이, 박테리아, 동물 등 다양한 생물에서 발견됩니다. 이 효소는 산화적 인산화 과정에서 ADP와 인산으로부터 ATP를 합성하거나 반대로 ATP를 분해하는 역할을 하는 막단백질입니다.
ATP synthase는 미토콘드리아뿐 아니라 여러 세포의 세포막에서도 발견되며, 간세포에서는 HDL 수용체로, 내피세포에서는 angiostatin 수용체로, 암세포 표면에서는 다양한 기능을 수행합니다.
이 효소는 F1(용해성 부분)과 F0(막 내 삽입 부분) 두 영역으로 구성되며, 포유류에서는 총 17개의 소단위로 이루어져 있습니다. 일부 F0 소단위는 미토콘드리아 DNA에 의해 암호화되고, 나머지는 핵 DNA에 의해 암호화됩니다. 미토콘드리아 암호화 소단위의 변이는 OXPHOS 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
