Product Specific Information
The eBioA1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD39, also known as ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1 (ENTPD1) or NTPDase. CD39 is an integral membrane protein with two transmembrane domains and exists as a homotetramer. It functions as a key ectoenzyme in the immune system, converting extracellular ATP to ADP or AMP, often in cooperation with CD73.
CD39 expression was first identified on activated lymphocytes and is also found on subsets of T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and weakly on monocytes and granulocytes. CD39 and CD73 are expressed on regulatory T cells (Treg), facilitating their migration into inflamed tissues with high ATP levels. Expression on Foxp3⁺CD4⁺ cells ranges from 25–45%.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test in 100 µL final volume. Suitable cell numbers range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information
CD39 is a 70–100 kDa cell surface antigen expressed on peripheral blood B cells, monocytes, T cell clones, and weakly on granulocytes. It exhibits intrinsic ecto-ATPase activity. Expression is induced on T cells and increased on B cells during late activation stages.
