Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human BMP-7. Anti-Human BMP-7-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human BMP-7 matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of Human BMP-7 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human BMP-7 (500-P198Bt) as detection antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human BMP-7.

Western Blot:
For detection of Human BMP-7 by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. In combination with compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant Human BMP-7 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a family of secreted signaling molecules that can induce ectopic bone growth. Many BMPs belong to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily. BMPs were first identified by their ability to induce endochondral osteogenesis in vivo. BMP7, expressed early in embryogenesis, is proposed to play a role in early development and is closely related to BMP5 and BMP6, suggesting possible bone inductive activity.
