For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

IL-1 alpha (Interleukin-1 alpha) is a proinflammatory cytokine expressed by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
It is encoded by the IL1A gene, located on chromosome 2q13, and signals through IL-1RI and IL-1RII receptors shared with IL-1 beta.
IL-1 alpha plays a key role in innate host defense, triggering production of other proinflammatory cytokines and initiating acute-phase responses.
Its activity can be moderated by IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL-1RA), which competitively inhibits receptor binding.
IL-1 alpha regulates NF-kappaB and MAPK pathways, stimulates IL6 and COX-2 expression, and enhances nitric oxide production.
Elevated IL-1 alpha levels are associated with chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis.
