Product Specific Information
PA1-333 detects LXR beta in human, rat, and mouse samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and IF procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects an approximately 51 kDa protein representing LXR beta in rat and mouse liver samples.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues R(113) Y A C R G S G T C Q M D A(126) of rat LXR beta.
The immunizing peptide (Cat. # PEP-271) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.
Target Information
The liver X receptors, LXRA and LXRB, form a subfamily of the nuclear receptor superfamily and regulate macrophage function, lipid homeostasis, and inflammation.
LXRA is highly expressed in liver, adrenal gland, intestine, adipose tissue, macrophages, lung, and kidney, whereas LXRB is ubiquitously expressed.
Ligand-activated LXRs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors and regulate expression of target genes containing LXR response elements.
