This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, chicken, human, mouse, and non-human primate based on 100% sequence homology.
In Western blot, this antibody detects an ~32 kDa protein representing the Phospho-Thr75 DARPP-32 protein.
Target Information
DARPP-32 is a dopamine (DA) and AMP-regulated ~32 kDa phosphoprotein associated with dopaminoceptive neurons.
The protein inhibits Protein Phosphatase I when phosphorylated on Thr34.
When phosphorylated on Thr75, DARPP-32 acts as an inhibitor of PKA.
Phosphorylation of DARPP-32 plays a critical role in regulating dopaminergic neurotransmission and is involved in the actions of alcohol, caffeine, and Prozac®.
