Target Information
PUF60 encodes a Ro RNP-binding protein that interacts with Ro RNPs, forming a ternary complex with FUSE and FUSE-binding protein. It can repress a c-myc reporter via FUSE and target transcription factor IIH to inhibit activated transcription. This gene is implicated in xeroderma pigmentosum disorder and has two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Evidence suggests multiple polyadenylation sites for this gene.
