Target Information
The nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NFAT) transcription complex is essential for the expression of proteins regulating immune responses. Four NFAT proteins (NFAT1–NFAT4) are encoded by separate genes and expressed as splice variants. They share low sequence similarity with the Dorsal/Rel/NFkB transcription factor family. NFAT5, a related protein, differs by lacking several Fos/Jun contact sites and has calcineurin-independent localization.
