For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The human UNG gene encodes both nuclear (UNG2) and mitochondrial (UNG1) forms of uracil-DNA glycosylase. These isoforms are generated by alternative splicing and use of two differentially regulated promoters (PA and PB).
UNG1 and UNG2 cDNAs are similar in size (2061 and 2058 bp), making their mRNAs indistinguishable by gel electrophoresis. UNG2 differs from UNG1 by 44 amino acids at the N-terminus, which is not required for catalytic activity.

UNG gene products repair mutagenic U:G mispairs caused by cytosine deamination. For example, UNG2 removes misincorporated dUMP residues. Expression levels of UNG1 and UNG2 vary by cell and tissue type and are cell cycle regulated, generally higher in proliferating cells.
UNG1 consists of 304 amino acids, while UNG2 consists of 313 amino acids.
