Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Estrogen Receptors (ER) belong to the steroid/thyroid hormone receptor superfamily of nuclear receptors.
The estrogen receptor functions as a ligand-activated transcription factor that, upon binding to estrogen, undergoes conformational changes enabling dimerization and DNA binding at estrogen response elements (EREs).
ER regulates gene transcription by recruiting coactivator or corepressor proteins.
Two forms exist — ER alpha (ESR1) and ER beta (ESR2) — encoded by separate genes.
At least four isoforms of ER alpha are known (66, 53, 47, and 35 kDa).
ERs are broadly expressed and play essential roles in sexual development, reproduction, bone maintenance, and are implicated in diseases such as breast and endometrial cancers, and osteoporosis.
