Target Information

KLF9 is a transcription factor belonging to the Sp1 C2H2-type zinc finger family. It binds to GC box elements in promoter regions.

• Binding to a single GC box inhibits mRNA expression.
• Binding to tandemly repeated GC boxes activates transcription.

KLF9 functions as a key transcriptional regulator of uterine endometrial cell proliferation, adhesion, and differentiation during pregnancy and tumorigenesis.
