Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution: Store at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
5-HT7 Receptor is a serotonin receptor involved in:
- Regulation of circadian rhythm
- Smooth-muscle relaxation in vasculature and GI tract
It has been implicated in depression, autism, and other neuropsychiatric disorders.
Three isoforms have been documented:
- Isoform a: 445 aa
- Isoform b: 432 aa
- Isoform d: 479 aa
Expression reported in aorta, brain, heart, placenta, small intestine, spleen, artery, and vessel.
An EST has been isolated from a testis library.
