Product Specific Information
The DJR2-2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human DR5, also known as TRAIL-R2, Apo2, TRICK2, and KILLER.
DR5 binds to TRAIL, activates NF-kappaB, and induces TRAIL-mediated apoptosis. It is expressed in normal tissues and tumor cells.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometry and Western blotting
- Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of human DR5-transfected cells
- Recommended ≤1 µg per test (100 µL final volume)
- Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test
- Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance
Purity: >90% (SDS-PAGE)
Aggregation: <10% (HPLC)
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered
Target Information
DR5 (Apo2, TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, KILLER) is a death domain-containing receptor for TRAIL, mediating TRAIL-induced apoptosis.
It belongs to the TNF-receptor superfamily and transduces apoptosis signals upon activation by TNFSF10/TRAIL/APO-2L.
Studies indicate FADD protein is essential for DR5-mediated apoptosis.
Two transcript variants and one non-coding transcript exist.
Overexpression induces apoptosis and activates NF-kappa-B.
DR5 is highly expressed in lymphocytes and spleen.
Associated diseases include squamous cell carcinoma and diffuse infiltrative lymphocytosis syndrome.
For Research Use Only.
Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Not for resale without express authorization.
