HLA-DRA는 HLA class II α-chain의 paralogue 중 하나로, α와 β 체인이 막에 고정된 이형이합체를 형성합니다. 이 분자는 세포외 단백질에서 유래한 펩타이드를 제시하여 면역 시스템에서 중심적인 역할을 수행합니다. Class II 분자는 항원 제시 세포(APC: B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages)에 발현됩니다. α-chain은 약 33–35 kDa이며, 유전자는 5개의 exon을 포함합니다.
- Exon 1: leader peptide
- Exon 2–3: extracellular domains
- Exon 4: transmembrane domain 및 cytoplasmic tail
DRA는 펩타이드 결합 부위에서 다형성이 없으며, DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, DRB5의 α-chain으로 작용합니다.
HLA 및 MHC 항체는 Immunopeptidomics 연구에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 고성능 액체 크로마토그래피와 tandem 질량분석을 통해 neoantigen을 식별하고 특성화하는 데 사용됩니다.
