Secreted Frizzled-Related Proteins (sFRPs)는 Wnt 단백질과 수용체 결합에 관여하는 시스테인 풍부 도메인을 공유하는 Wnt 길항제입니다. sFRP-4는 다양한 조직에서 발현되며, 항혈관신생 인자, 세포자멸 촉진 인자, 인슐린 분비 억제 인자로 작용할 수 있습니다. 또한 Wnt 신호전달 억제를 통해 종양 성장 및 전이 억제에 관여합니다. sFRP-4의 감소는 난소암, 자궁내막암, 전립선암, 폐암 등의 진행과 관련이 있으며, 증가된 sFRP-4는 제2형 당뇨병 및 건선의 병태와 연관되어 있습니다.
