Target Information
Damaged DNA binding protein (DDB)은 두 개의 서브유닛 p127(DDB1)과 p48(DDB2)로 구성된 헤테로다이머 단백질입니다. DDB 복합체는 자외선에 의해 손상된 DNA의 복구 과정에 관여하며, UV-DDB, XPE-BF, XAP-1로도 알려져 있습니다.
DDB2 유전자의 변이는 자외선에 의해 손상된 DNA 수선이 결함인 자외선색소증 그룹 E(XPE)의 원인으로 보고됩니다. XPE 환자는 햇빛에 대한 과민성과 높은 피부암 발생률, 신경학적 이상을 보입니다. 또한 B형 간염 바이러스 X 단백질(HBx)은 DDB1과 상호작용하여 HBx의 전사활성을 매개할 수 있습니다.
