Target Information
STK3 (MST2)는 MAP 키나아제 신호 경로 상류에서 작용하는 STE 키나아제 계열의 단백질로, 세포자멸사 유도 자극(staurosporine, FAS ligand)에 의해 활성화됩니다.
STK3는 스트레스 반응성, 세포사멸 관련 키나아제로서 caspase 절단 후 핵으로 이동하여 염색질 응축과 DNA 단편화를 유도합니다.
이 단백질은 Hippo 신호경로의 핵심 구성 요소로, 세포 증식 억제 및 세포사멸 촉진을 통해 장기 크기 조절과 종양 억제에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
STK3/MST2와 STK4/MST1은 LATS1/2를 인산화하여 YAP1 및 WWTR1/TAZ의 핵 내 이동을 억제함으로써 세포 증식, 사멸, 이동 조절에 관여합니다.
또한 간세포의 과도한 증식을 억제하고 성체 간 줄기세포 활성화를 방지하며 종양 형성을 억제합니다.
