• Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size.
• The antibody ships lyophilized at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Glutamate is the main excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain. It acts on ligand-gated receptor channels such as NMDA, AMPA, and kainate receptors involved in fast excitatory synaptic transmission.
Additionally, glutamate regulates enzymes producing second messengers via G-protein-coupled receptors known as metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs).

• Group I receptors (mGluR1a, mGluR5): stimulate phospholipase C, increasing phosphoinositide turnover and calcium release.
• Group II receptors (mGluR2, mGluR3): inhibit adenylyl cyclase.
• Group III receptors: also coupled to inhibition of adenylyl cyclase.
