Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as confirmed by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

CYP2F1 is a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. These monooxygenases catalyze numerous reactions involved in drug metabolism and the synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and other lipids. CYP2F1 localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and is known to dehydrogenate 3-methylindole—an endogenous toxin derived from tryptophan fermentation—as well as xenobiotic substrates such as naphthalene and ethoxycoumarin.
