Product Specific Information

The AER-37 monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilon RI alpha subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability. Fc epsilon RI alpha is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by IgE presence. It forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits, which possess ITAM motifs. This complex plays a key role in IgE-mediated allergic reactions.

Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.25 µg)/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody staining a sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

FceR1 (Fc epsilonR1 alpha) is a subunit of the high-affinity IgE receptor. It forms a tetrameric complex with one alpha, one beta, and two additional subunits responsible for signal transduction. Fc epsilonR1 plays a critical role in allergic responses. When allergen-bound IgE molecules cross-link receptors, mediators such as histamine are released, initiating inflammatory responses typical of allergic disorders like hay fever and asthma.
