Target Information
MCL1 (Myeloid cell leukemia-1)은 Bcl-2 계열 단백질로, 세포 생존 및 분화 유지에 관여합니다. Isoform 1은 세포 사멸(apoptosis)을 억제하며, Isoform 2는 이를 촉진합니다. MCL1은 DNA 손상 자극(예: 방사선, 자외선, 알킬화 약물)에 의해 발현이 증가하며, Bax 및 GADD45 증가와 bcl-2 감소를 동반합니다. MCL1은 미토콘드리아에 주로 존재하며, bcl-2와 함께 세포 생존을 유지합니다. 또한, MCL1은 Bim 또는 Bak과 같은 pro-apoptotic 단백질을 중화하여 apoptosis를 억제할 수 있습니다. MCL1은 다양한 세포 유형에서 발현되며, 배아 발생 및 면역세포(B, T 림프구) 유지에 필수적입니다. 두 가지 주요 isoform(MCL1L, MCL1S)이 존재하며, MCL1S의 과발현은 세포 사멸을 촉진합니다.
