Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature and should be stored at -20°C upon arrival.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g for 5 min).

Target Information

Sortilin functions as a sorting receptor in the Golgi compartment and as a clearance receptor on the cell surface.
It is required for protein transport from the Golgi apparatus to lysosomes and endosomes, independent of the mannose-6-phosphate receptor (M6PR).
Sortilin promotes neuronal apoptosis by mediating endocytosis of proBDNF and proNGFB, and also acts as a receptor for neurotensin.
