For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The TNNI2 gene encodes a fast-twitch skeletal muscle protein, a member of the troponin I gene family and a component of the troponin complex (troponin T, troponin C, and troponin I subunits).
This complex, along with tropomyosin, regulates calcium-dependent striated muscle contraction.
Mouse studies indicate expression in vascular smooth muscle, suggesting a role in smooth muscle regulation.
Additionally, expression has been observed in corneal epithelium and cartilage, where it inhibits angiogenesis and tumor growth, and in mammary gland tissue as a co-activator of estrogen receptor-related receptor alpha.
Mutations in this gene are associated with myopathy and distal arthrogryposis type 2B.
Alternative splicing variants have also been identified.
