Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of GEF-H1 only when phosphorylated at Ser886.
Target Information
GEF-H1 activates Rho GTPases by promoting the exchange of GDP and GTP. Rho GTPases are critical regulators of various cellular processes initiated by extracellular stimuli through G protein-coupled receptors.
GEF-H1 may be involved in:
- Epithelial barrier permeability
- Cell motility and polarization
- Dendritic spine morphology
- Antigen presentation
- Leukemic cell differentiation
- Cell cycle regulation
- Innate immune response and cancer
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
