Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family, functioning as a molecular scaffold for multiprotein complexes at the plasma membrane.
It also belongs to the CARD protein family, characterized by a caspase-associated recruitment domain (CARD).
This protein interacts with BCL10, a positive regulator of cell apoptosis and NF-kappaB activation. When expressed, it activates NF-kappaB and induces phosphorylation of BCL10.
