Product Specific Information

- Reconstitution:
Briefly centrifuge vial before opening to collect contents.
Reconstitute in sterile, distilled water to a concentration of 0.5–1.0 mg/mL.
Further dilutions should be made in aqueous buffers supplemented with 0.1–1.0% BSA. - Storage:
- Stable at 2°C to 8°C in lyophilized form.
- For long-term storage, keep at -20°C (preferably desiccated).
- After reconstitution, stable for up to one week at 2°C to 8°C.
- For maximal stability, aliquot and store at -20°C.
- Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Target Information
Eotaxin-2 belongs to the CC subfamily of small cytokine genes. Cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. CC cytokines are characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene has chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes, minimal activity on neutrophils, and no activity on monocytes or activated T lymphocytes. It also strongly suppresses colony formation by multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell lines.
