Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody CDF4 recognizes human Golgin-97, a GRIP domain protein first identified as a Golgi complex autoantigen associated with Sjogren’s syndrome. Golgin-97 is a peripheral membrane protein found on the trans face of the Golgi apparatus. The protein G family member Arl1 mediates Golgin-97 binding to the Golgi membrane.
Like all GRIP proteins, Golgin-97 maintains the integrity of the trans Golgi network and functions as a tethering molecule in retrograde transport from endosomes to the trans Golgi network.
During poxvirus infection, Golgin-97 incorporates into virions and plays a role in viral replication and morphogenesis.
Applications Reported:
CDF4 antibody is suitable for western blotting, immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, and immunocytochemistry.
Applications Tested:
CDF4 antibody has been tested by immunocytochemistry of fixed and permeabilized HeLa cells and can be used at ≤1 µg/mL. It is recommended to titrate for optimal assay performance.
