For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MMP13 (collagenase 3) is involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins such as fibrillar collagen, fibronectin, TNC, and ACAN. It cleaves triple-helical collagens (type I, II, and III), with the highest activity toward soluble type II collagen. MMP13 also degrades collagen types IV, XIV, and X.
This enzyme plays crucial roles in wound healing, tissue remodeling, cartilage degradation, bone development, mineralization, and ossification. It is required for normal embryonic bone development and ossification.
Mutations in the MMP13 gene are associated with spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia Missouri type, metaphyseal anadysplasia 1, and metaphyseal dysplasia Sphar type.
