For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The progesterone receptor (PR) is a nuclear receptor that mediates the effects of progesterone, a key hormone in reproductive processes such as establishment and maintenance of pregnancy.
PR exists as two isoforms: PR-A (94 kDa) and PR-B (120 kDa), generated by alternative translation initiation. PR-B is transcriptionally active, regulating genes involved in endometrial maintenance and ovulation inhibition. PR-A lacks 165 amino acids at the N-terminus, exposing an inhibitory domain that represses steroid hormone transcriptional activity.
In its inactive form, PR associates with heat shock proteins and immunophilins. Upon progesterone binding, PR undergoes conformational changes, dimerizes, and binds to progesterone response elements (PREs) to activate gene transcription.
Mutations in the PGR gene can lead to reproductive abnormalities.
