Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of Epo-R only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 368.
Target Information
EpoR encodes the erythropoietin receptor, a member of the cytokine receptor family. Binding of erythropoietin activates Jak2 tyrosine kinase, which triggers intracellular pathways such as Ras/MAP kinase, PI3K, and STAT transcription factors. Activated EpoR supports erythroid cell survival. Mutations or dysregulation of EPOR may lead to erythroleukemia, familial erythrocytosis, and abnormal tumor growth. Multiple transcript variants exist due to alternative splicing.
