This antibody detects endogenous levels of PLCG1 only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 771.
Target Information
The mammalian Phospholipase Cγ (PLCγ) family includes two closely related proteins, PLCγ1 and PLCγ2. These isozymes share core structural domains and possess additional domains including a PH domain, two SH2 domains, and one SH3 domain. Upon stimulation by extracellular signals such as hormones and growth factors, receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) phosphorylate and activate PLCγ. Activated PLCγ catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2), generating the second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG).
