Target Information
POLR2B encodes the second largest subunit of RNA polymerase II, responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. This subunit, together with other polymerase subunits, forms a structure maintaining contact between the DNA template and the newly synthesized RNA at the enzyme’s active site.
