Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Protein Z (PROZ) is a vitamin K-dependent plasma glycoprotein of approximately 62 kDa and 396 amino acids. It consists of four domains: a Gla-rich region, two EGF-like domains, and a trypsin-like domain.
Although structurally related to serine proteases (factors VII, IX, X, and protein C), PROZ lacks catalytic activity due to the absence of a serine residue. It participates in the coagulation cascade by accelerating the degradation of factor Xa through the protein Z-related protease inhibitor (ZPI).
Deficiency in PROZ has been variably associated with either thrombosis or bleeding tendencies. Its function is vitamin K-dependent and can be impaired during warfarin therapy.
