Target Information
CDC34 accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins.
In vitro, it catalyzes Lys-48-linked polyubiquitination and cooperates with E2 UBCH5C and SCF (FBXW11) E3 ligase complex for NFKBIA polyubiquitination and degradation.
It regulates cell proliferation and the G2/M phase of the cell cycle through ubiquitination of MYBL2, KIP1, and WEE1 kinase.
Also involved in degradation of beta-catenin and interacts dynamically with proteasomes under herpes virus infection.
