This antibody is predicted to react with mouse, rat, non-human primate, and rabbit based on sequence homology.

Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They comprise a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of a recombinant antibody.

While functionally similar to a polyclonal antibody—recognizing multiple epitope sites on the target and producing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets—a recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibody has a known mixture of light and heavy chains. This ensures the same antibody population can be produced in every lot, eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal antibody production.

Glucagon is a 29-amino acid pancreatic hormone that counteracts insulin by stimulating glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis. It is mapped to chromosome 2q36–2q37.

GLP1, also known as 7–37 (based on preproglucagon codons), renders pancreatic beta-cells glucose-competent and may be useful in the treatment of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. GLP1 is a potent insulin secretagogue and plays a major role in the enteroinsular axis, explaining why plasma insulin levels after oral glucose intake are higher than after intravenous glucose administration.
