Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.

These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target protein, allowing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot is produced with a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

ERK1 and ERK2 are widely expressed kinases involved in regulating meiosis, mitosis, and postmitotic functions in differentiated cells. They are activated by various stimuli such as growth factors, cytokines, viral infection, and G protein-coupled receptor ligands.

Upon activation, ERK1/2 phosphorylate cytoplasmic targets or translocate to the nucleus to activate transcription factors including c-Fos and Elk-1. These pathways play crucial roles in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival.
